OOTD Beauty Shines at the K-Beauty Layover Pop-Up in Toronto

Earlier this month, OOTD Beauty attended the very first K-Beauty Layover Pop-Up in downtown Toronto — and what an unforgettable experience it was! From September 5–8, 2025, we joined 12 leading Korean beauty brands to showcase the best of K-beauty and connect directly with our Canadian community.

Over the course of four days, more than 2,500 visitors — including influencers, media, and beauty lovers — stopped by to explore interactive games, shop curated skincare, and share in the excitement. For us, the highlights included PR Day, where we met over 300 creators, and our Spin-to-Win wheel, which kept guests buzzing with prizes and giveaways.

The pop-up brought together 12 of the hottest and most innovative Korean skincare brands, including Medicube, VT Cosmetics, Haruharu Wonder, House of Hur, and more — with OOTD Beauty proud to stand among them. This pop-up was a true showcase of the very best of K-beauty, highlighting the creativity, diversity, and innovation driving Korean skincare today.

 

What truly made the Layover special wasn’t just the impressive turnout, but the connections built throughout the event. From meeting creators face-to-face on PR Day to welcoming Toronto beauty lovers across all four days, every interaction gave us the chance to share OOTD Beauty and celebrate the power of K-beauty together.

PR Day: Connecting with Creators

The Layover kicked off with an exclusive PR Day, bringing together over 300 creators, influencers, and media guests to celebrate the world of K-beauty. For OOTD Beauty, it was an incredible chance to introduce our hero products face-to-face, share our story, and see the excitement around our brand firsthand.

Guests received curated PR gift bags featuring our best-sellers, while exploring interactive installations designed to inspire content creation. The energy was contagious — creators were filming, sharing, and posting throughout the day, helping the buzz spread far beyond Toronto.

What stood out most was the genuine enthusiasm: from influencers trying on our viral Star Spot Patches, to swatching our sensitive-skin-friendly bestseller, the Peptide Skin Barrier Cream, PR Day proved just how strong the love for K-beauty is in Canada. For us, it wasn’t just about showcasing products — it was about building relationships with the voices shaping beauty conversations.

While PR Day gave us the chance to connect with creators and media, the following days opened the doors to beauty lovers across Toronto. At the OOTD Beauty booth, the energy stayed high thanks to our Spin-to-Win wheel, hands-on product testing, and prize giveaways that kept guests coming back for more.

Interactive Fun at the OOTD Beauty Booth

While PR Day gave us the chance to connect with creators and media, the following days opened the doors to beauty lovers all across Toronto. At the OOTD Beauty booth, the energy stayed high thanks to our Spin-to-Win wheel, hands-on product testing, and prize giveaways that kept guests coming back for more.

Visitors lined up to try their luck at the Spin-to-Win wheel, where prizes included some of our best-selling sheet masks and even the grand prize of a full-sized product. Every spin brought excitement, with guests cheering for their wins and sharing their moments on social media.

Beyond the prizes, guests were encouraged to test our products in person and chat with our team about their skincare needs. From trying on our viral Star Spot Patches to experiencing the lightweight hydration of our Peptide Skin Barrier Cream, visitors loved being able to discover our products firsthand — and ask questions about how to fit them into their daily routines.

The Products Everyone Loved

Beyond the games and giveaways, the true highlight of the Layover was the chance for guests to discover and fall in love with K-beauty products firsthand. With 12 brands under one roof, beauty fans were able to test, swatch, and shop everything from brightening serums to soothing masks.

At the OOTD Beauty booth, our hero products stood out as clear favorites. The Star Spot Patch quickly became a crowd must-have, thanks to its fast-acting blemish care and status as a global K-beauty phenomenon. Inspired by the K-pop idol trend of wearing star-shaped patches, it has become both a skincare essential and a playful beauty statement — and guests in Toronto were eager to try it for themselves.

Visitors also gravitated toward our Peptide Skin Barrier Cream, praising its hydrating, sensitive-skin-friendly formula — perfect for strengthening the skin barrier against Canada’s changing weather. Its lightweight yet nourishing texture made it a hit for guests looking for everyday barrier support.

Finally, our newest launch, the Vitamin C and Collagen Hydrogel Masks, sparked major interest. Guests were intrigued by the advanced formulation with low molecular collagen, which allows for deeper and more effective absorption. With clinically tested results and a gentle formula, these masks quickly became conversation starters at the booth. Both the Vitamin C variant (targeting hyperpigmentation and uneven tone) and the Collagen variant (boosting elasticity and addressing dullness) proved popular, offering solutions for a variety of skin concerns.

A Packed Pop-Up Experience

Over the course of five days, the K-Beauty Layover Pop-Up welcomed more than 2,500 visitors, filling the space with nonstop energy and excitement. Guests lined up outside each morning, eager to discover new products, play interactive games, and connect with their favorite brands.

Due to popular demand and continued excitement, the pop-up was extended to a fifth retail day — a clear sign of Toronto’s growing love for K-beauty. The additional day gave even more beauty lovers the chance to shop exclusive promotions, discover new skincare favorites, and stock up on must-haves before the pop-up wrapped.

The strong turnout and vibrant atmosphere throughout the event demonstrated not only the popularity of individual products, but also the broader demand for K-beauty in Canada. From first-time shoppers to longtime fans, the Layover showed just how much Toronto embraces the creativity and innovation of Korean skincare.
